SOMERSET – The Richland boys and Somerset girls won team titles Saturday at the Drew B. Hittie Eagle Invitational.

In the boys competition, the Rams finished with 258 points, just ahead of Somerset (246) and Westmont Hilltop (219).

The Richland boys won four individual crowns and the 400-yard freestyle relay with Justin Rovder claiming the 200 and 500 freestyle titles and brother Jacob Rovder winning the 100 backstroke and the 100 butterfly.

Other winners were Somerset’s Jon Huynh in the 50 and 100 freestyles and Westmont Hilltop’s Fisk Lee in the 200 individual medley and the 100 breaststroke. The Golden Eagles won the 200 medley relay and the Hilltoppers won the 200 freestyle relay.

On the girls side, the Golden Eagles dominated with 304 points while Richland (196) and Westmont Hilltop (193) were second and third, respectively.

Somerset foreign exchange student Martina Giuliani won the 100 butterfly and 100 freestyle, and the Golden Eagles also won titles in the 200 medley and the 400 freestyle relays.

Harmony Eckroth of Richland won the 200 freestyle, Westmont Hilltop’s Jasmine Innis claimed the victory in the 50 freestyle and Grace Gerlach of Central Cambria was victorious in the 100 breaststoke.

Sarah Petry of Cambria Heights was a double winner with victories in the 500 freestyle and the 100 backstroke. Highlanders teammate Maddi Dzurko won the 200 individual medley and Cambria Heights won the 200 freestyle relay.
